Personal financial behaviors have a direct effect on a business owner’s financial decisions, credit worthiness, and access to capital which greatly affects business growth. This course is designed for the business owner to examine their personal financial behaviors. Emotional and cultural factors of budgeting and spending, income to debt ratios, and financial behavior modification are addressed. Credit reports are secured and discussed one-on-one with a professional financial counselor.
Participants who complete this program gain an understanding of the credit system; bank/lender culture and access to capital; bridging personal finance to business finance; and position the small business for growth. This course can run concurrent with Operation JumpStart.
Personal Finance for Small Business entails 4 one hour workshops and 6 hours of one-on-one private sessions for a total of 10 hours.
